Mike's named 'Healthy Retailer of the Month'
HARTLAND— Area prevention coalition members recently named locally owned Mike’s Store the region’s “Healthy Retailer of the Month.” The honor, which comes in the wake of the state Department of Health’s Fit & Healthy Retailer/Small Change Big Impact initiative, calls attention to storeowner Mike Pierce’s recent efforts to make healthy changes for his customers, including adding new coolers to keep alcohol away from other products.
